Best Roadways was founded by Mr. Jai Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director in 1985 with nothing more than grit and determination in hand, out of One Small Room on the mezzanine floor of a building at Masjid Bunder in Mumbai. At this juncture, Best Roadways, an ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified Company, boasts a 25 year history in Transport Industry in India.

It is an energetic blend of multiple aspects into the life of Mr. Jai Kumar Gupta and his journey with edgy expressions of his struggle towards self-discovery in the corporate world.

After graduating with 1st Class B.Com Honours from Hindu College, Delhi University in 1979, Mr. Jai Kumar Gupta decided to step in to Corporate World from the student life to try his hand at something professionally and headed to the City of Dreams, Mumbai to be a successful entrepreneur. At that juncture, when he came into being in the Transport Business, despite many barriers, heartaches, excruciating and stressful moments, he steadily carried on, even with Zilch Resources, just because of his strong Will Power, Immense Dedication, Hard Work, Vision to Succeed, Trustworthy Relationships with the Clients and uncompromising emphasis on providing Quality Services. He planned on to live and breathe his passion for the business (which, initially had turned as One-Man Show) he created to uplift, motivate and inspire all.

The decades of self-imposed lessons appeared to be paying off when Best Roadways was honored with the prestigious Transport Ratna Award for immense contribution to the Industry and society at large.

Our Company today has become a force to reckon within the industry due to his relentless efforts coupled with the enormous unconditional and resolute support from his brothers Mr. Kamal Kumar Gupta, Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta and Mr. Satish Kumar Gupta who currently, are on Board of the Company.

Compounded Annual Growth Rate of 15% year on year, has resulted in our Company becoming an enviable brand in the business of Transportation and Logistics in India, today.

The Company entered into the corporate arena by registering under The Companies Act in 1990 during the period when, even our stronger competitors were reluctant to do so.

Thanks to the ever-growing patronage of our confidants due to whom our turnover enviably stands (as of fiscal year 2009-10) at a whopping 200 crores, a milestone many among our brethren can only dream of!

As per the last fiscal year (2010-2011), Best Roadways had 3,248 regular clients, which gave business on a regular basis in that year  We have served 17,000 unique clients served up till now.
Come June 2012, Dronagiri (JNPT) will have its first private multi-storey (basement, ground and first floors) fully automated, modern and state-of-the-art warehousing facility. Area = 1,50,000 square feet.
Best Roadways became *the* first fleet owner in India in 1991 to introduce ISO -Certified Steel Containers in its entire fleet instead of wooden containers covered with tarpaulin.
Numbering at 655 (as of September 2011), we are the only road transporter in Mumbai and New Delhi with the largest fleet of ISO-certified containerized trucks.
Best Roadways ventured into ODC business in August 2011. As of October 2011, the company has in its arsenal 150 axles with 2 Volvo FH series and 1 FM series.
We are the largest and the ONLY private player in JNPT with indigenous and self-sufficient logistics park equipped with petrol pumps and weigh bridges.
Best Roadways currently runs 45 branch offices across India. 90% of these offices are strategically located along the Golden Quadrilateral Highway, enabling us to superior and high-quality services to you at a reasonable rate.
Owing to the fact that we have an established asset base in JNPT, the exporters and importers based in New Delhi and NCR, 95% of them will have heard about Best, and about 75% of which will consider giving us business.
With the pace with which the Indian economy is growing, and the reciprocating growth of our industry and Best Roadways alike, we will become the largest road transporter in Mumbai and New Delhi by the year 2015.
Preferred carrier of over 1,500 CHAs based in and around Mumbai, most of whom at some point in time or the other will have conducted business with us.
More than a decade old relationship with some of the biggest household names in India, such as Hindustan Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive and Kellogg's.
Best Roadways has partnership agreements with some of the largest multinational 3PL organisations, that includes OOCL, Kuehne & Nagel, DHL Lemuir, Bertling, DB Schenker, and Writer Corporation.
